Definitely some good issues you point out, and as security auditor for 16 years I would add that security in the cloud is becoming a big concern based on the fact that you really can’t touch or feel your systems like you did in the old days of the client-server architecture that will soon be a bye gone era. What’s worse is that access to your cloud platform is nothing more than a web interface, that’s it. Where does your actual production environment sit? Who knows for sure, right? What are the redundancy and disaster recovery safeguards if they need to be invoked? There are just so many challenges, but then there’s also the upside of cost reduction, efficiencies of scale, and also the notion that not releasing locations of cloud environments adds to security (some people think so, and I’m starting to feel this way also).
