Program Manager, Cloud Standards Customer Council
The Cloud Standards Customer Council has published a new reference architecture -- Cloud Customer Architecture for e-Commerce. This paper was written to help technologists leverage cloud computing to support e-Commerce solutions.
The reference architecture describes the flows and relationships between business capabilities and architectural components for e-Commerce applications that use cloud computing infrastructure, platforms and/or services. The elements of the architecture are used to instantiate an e-Commerce system whether using private, public or hybrid cloud deployment models. Applications comprising the core components of the architecture may be delivered as a service, from on-premises, or hosted.
The paper outlines key considerations for building out advanced e-Commerce capabilities and methods for enhancing customer engagement by delivering personalized experiences to users based on past purchase history, browsing activity, etc.
Authors from the CSCC will discuss the architecture in more detail during a webinar on October 4, 2016 at 11:00am ET. For complimentary registration, visit www.cloud-council.org/events.
